About Us
Sikh Cultural Society of Metropolitan Windsor — serving our community through Gurdwara Khalsa Parkash Windsor since 1972.
Our History

Sikh Cultural Society of Metropolitan Windsor was founded in 1972 and serves the Sangat through Gurdwara Khalsa Parkash Windsor. A small but determined group of Sikh families in Windsor-Essex came together to create a spiritual home for the community, a place where Gurbani could be heard, Langar served, and children could grow up connected to their heritage.
Gurdwara Khalsa Parkash Windsor is managed by the Executive Committee of the Sikh Cultural Society of Metropolitan Windsor (SCSMW), with the support of the Society’s active members and the congregation.
Over the decades the Sangat has grown steadily. Today the Gurdwara serves hundreds of families across Windsor-Essex with daily prayers, Gurpurabs, Anand Karaj ceremonies, Langar, and the Baba Deep Singh Khalsa School — 35 years and counting of uninterrupted sewa.

Mission & Values
Our mission is simple: to serve Windsor-Essex through Faith, Sewa, and Community — welcoming everyone through our doors regardless of background, and nurturing a living connection to Sikh teaching and heritage for generations to come.
Sikhi
We keep the light of Gurbani at the centre of everything — daily Nitnem, Akhand Paths, and the study of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Sewa
Selfless service is the foundation of our community. Langar is served to all who come — no invitation needed, no charge, no exception.
Sangat
We are stronger together. The Gurdwara is a gathering place for the whole community — Sikh and non-Sikh, newcomer and long-time resident.
Education
Through the Khalsa School, youth programs, and Learn resources, we invest in every generation's connection to Punjabi language, Gurbani, and Sikh heritage.
